While with Stewart’s Melville FP, he was in the Scotland under-19 team who beat England in the FIRA Junior World Championship in Wales in 1998-99, and the following season, after a move to Melrose, he was vice-captain against Italy under-21 as well as playing for Scotland in the 2000 SANZAR under-21 tournament in New Zealand. He was also in the Melrose team who were beaten by Boroughmuir in the BT Cellnet Cup final at Murrayfield in May 2001. He made a return to the Scotland Sevens squad for the 2005 IRB international tournaments in New Zealand and Los Angeles before the IRB Rugby World Cup Sevens in Hong Kong. He was back in the Scotland sevens squad for the IRB tournaments in Hong Kong and Adelaide in March/April 2009. |
