Sam Blackwood has played for Glasgow’s district under-16, under-17, and under-18 teams. He captained both the district under-18 team and Hutchesons’ Grammar School. He played at the Marr club in Troon before joining Glasgow Hawks.

Outwith rugby, he was Scottish Schools’ 400m bronze medallist. Sam is studying economics and politics at Edinburgh University.
