A: No. Tickets must be purchased prior to the game. You will be able to pick up your pre-bought ticket(s) on the day of the match from the Ticket Centre. Clients are advised to collect their match tickets two hours before kick off to avoid queues. However, no new sales will be permitted. Tickets purchased which are for collection may be collected from the Ticket Office (hours as above) before the match or on match day from 9.00am. We would encourage you to come and collect tickets early as we will be extremely busy in the two hours prior to the match. Q: I have a concession ticket and find I need it upgraded to a full adult ticket. A: Contact the Ticket Centre and they will be able to assist you. Q: I don’t have a ticket but I know I can probably get one from someone outside the stadium on the day. A: Scottish Rugby does not encourage supporters to purchase tickets from anything other than official sources and actively discourages the activities of ticket touts. Tickets being sold on unofficial web sites may be investigated and those seats will be cancelled. Q: Can I park at the stadium? A: Due to work on the Edinburgh tram initiative and the Water of Leith flood prevention scheme, there will be no car parking at Murrayfield Stadium for any 2009 RBS 6 Nation fixtures. Q: What about coaches / minibuses? A: Coach / minibus parking will no longer be available within Murrayfield Stadium and will now be parked in two locations. 1. A8 Corstorphine Rd 2. A71 Gorgie Rd All drivers should approach the vicinity from the A8 Corstorphine Rd. or A71 Calder Rd. where you will be directed to park by Police Officers It is imperative that drivers co-operate and follow instructions and directions to ensure maximum capacity. Coaches / minibuses should not arrive before 2pm for a 5pm kick off. The first vehicles to arrive will be parked at the closest location to the Stadium. Q: I am disabled – can I park at the stadium? A: Disabled parking is allocated to Scottish Rugby disabled pass holders on advance application only to the Ticket Office. There will be no access to the disabled parking area to supporters without the required Scottish Rugby pass. Those with Scottish Rugby Disabled Car Park passes must also display their blue badge. Q: How do I access the disabled terraces (12A / 34A) A: There are three lifts within the stadium, one in each of the North and South stands and centre of the West stand. Please inform the nearest steward who will provide assistance here, should it be required. Q: Since buying my ticket, my mobility has been affected. Who can I ask for assistance and what happens if I’m physically unable to get to the seat I have a ticket for? A: We would advise that you contact our Ticket Office in advance if there has been any change in your circumstances however, if this is not possible, please contact your nearest steward on the day. We have a dedicated team within the stadium that will look after spectators with such difficulties. Q: How do I get into the stadium? A: Access to the Stadium is only from the North Stand, Roseburn Crescent, Roseburn Street and South Stand turnstiles. Please note that there is no pedestrian access from the West Stand turnstiles. Please note: Supporters with student tickets must use the dedicated turnstiles throughout the stadium. These will be indicated by signage at each block of turnstiles. Student tickets will be asked to provide evidence of concessionary status, such as a matriculation card. Failure to provide acceptable ID will result in an upgraded ticket being required which can be purchased from the Ticket Centre, Gate A, Roseburn Street. These new arrangements apply to student tickets only. Children may use any turnstile and proof of age is not required. Q: I have difficulty using a turnstile. A: Please contact a steward at the turnstile area who will happily assist with access through the nearest gate. Q: What do I do if I find someone sitting in my seat with the same ticket, or if there’s a problem with my seat? A: Please contact your section steward who will be able to assist you or contact someone who can help. Q: Can I bring a camera? A: Yes, pocked sized cameras are permitted however large professional cameras are not. Q: Can I bring an air horn? A: Yes, however only mechanised air horns (blow through / wind up) are allowed - pressurised containers are not permitted. Q: Can I bring rucksacks or suitcases? A: Small backpacks are permitted however suitcases or larger items will be denied access. We assume no responsibility for baggage within the stadium. Rucksacks or similar will be subject to a search before entry. Q: I want to bring along my one-year-old child? A: No problem, however we would remind you that this an international rugby match with a large crowd, music etc which may not be suitable for a child so young. Q: Does my one-year-old child need a match ticket? A: Children aged under two are admitted free of charge provided they sit on the parent’s / guardian’s knee. Q: Can I bring a buggy into the stadium? A: No. There is no facility for buggies and there is no facility for buggy drop-off and collection. Q: Is there a baby changing facility available? A: No. Q: Can I bring juice into the stadium? A: Cans cannot be brought into the stadium as part of the stadium ground rules. However, a relaxation has been given to plastic bottles of soft drinks and water of up to 500ml. Please note: the lid must be sealed and intact. No alcohol will be permitted to be brought into the stadium. Q: Can I bring food into the stadium? A: There are catering outlets throughout the stadium and therefore there should be no requirement. Q: What happens if I have special dietary requirements, though? A: We will not stop anyone bringing food or drink into the stadium under these circumstances, providing that any soft drinks / water are in SEALED plastic bottles no larger than 500ml. Q: Can you purchase alcohol in the stadium? A: Yes. The stadium will be licensed with bars and food outlets opening at the same time as our turnstiles. Q: Can I take my drink to my seat? A: Yes Q: Will there be a beer tent on the back pitches? A: No. There is no beer tent for these matches as the stadium is licensed and development work is underway on the back pitches. Q: Where can I buy merchandise? A: The Scottish Rugby Shop has recently undergone refurbishment and stocks a wide range of rugby goods. Two marquees – one behind the North stand and one behind the East stand – will also be selling a limited range of popular items. Q: Will I be able to smoke in stadium? A: No. Smoking is not permitted anywhere within the stadium. Q: Will there be a pass in / pass out section? A: No. Q: I would like an announcement made at half time for a birthday / proposal etc? A: We receive so many requests of this nature that we are unable to fulfil them all, therefore our policy has to be that we make no such announcements. Q: If I feel unwell during the match, can I get help? A: Yes, we have a full medical team on duty for your safety and wellbeing, including first aid, paramedics and doctors. Please contact your nearest steward, in the first instance. The First Aid room is located at ground level in the South West corner of the stadium. Q: What entertainment is planned? A: Pre match – Pipes and Drum Bands / Pitch Flags / Flypast Stadium periphery: Face painters Q: My child is a mascot – what are the arrangements? A: Passes and tickets have been posted out along with match details. A: Yes, players will exit their changing rooms by the players’ tunnel, in the centre of the West concourse, and may sign autographs. Q: Can you tell me about public transport to the stadium? Hermiston is served by service 25 which runs every 10 minutes to Gorgie, and Ingliston is served by service X48 to Murrayfield.
