Calum James McChlery McConnachie has played for Scotland at under-17 and under-19. His debut in the older grade was as a replacement in the victory against Italy in Parabagio, near Milan, in February 2008.  He has also played for the Hillhead/Jordanhill first XV and Glasgow’s under-18 team, and during a year in New Zealand with the Hutt Old Boys Marist club he earned selection for the Wellington province’s under-19 team. 

The Hyndland Secondary School former pupil plans to study English literature at Aberdeen University beginning in September 2009.
