Neil Thomas Rodger had international under-17 and under-18 recognition before being called into Scotland’s seven-a-side squad for the first time for the IRB world series tournaments in Wellington (New Zealand) and San Diego (USA) in February 2008. His under-18 honours included the RBS Six Nations’ Festival in the Glasgow area in April 2007.

He has also played for Edinburgh at under-16 and under-18 levels. The former pupil of King’s Meadow Primary School and Knox Academy is studying geography at Edinburgh University and is a member of Scottish Rugby’s National Academy as well as being supported by the East of Scotland Institute of Sport.
