Adam Stuart McKenzie scored three tries for Scotland in the under-19 international win against Italy at Parabagio, Milan, in February 2008. He has also played for Scotland under-18 and under-20. His debut at the older level was as a replacement in the 18-17 win against Wales at McDiarmid Park, Perth, on the opening day of the age group’s Six Nations Championship in February 2009. Three more replacement appearances followed before he had his first start in the Worcester match against England. Adam has played for Durham County at every level from under-15 to under-20. While at Barnard Castle School, he played in the English Schools’ Cup final at Twickenham, and he was the school’s victor laudorum (the best overall athlete) for three successive years. He had played for Newcastle Falcons’ under-17, under-18, and under-19 teams and is now in the club’s academy. He is studying building surveying at Northumbria University. | |
