Steven Sam Wilson has played for Scotland’s under-17, under-18, under-19, and under-20 teams as well as Caledonia under-16, under-17, and under-18. His under-20 international debut was as a replacement in the age-group match against Wales at Rodney Parade, Newport, in February 2008, and he had his first start as inside centre against England at Falkirk the following month. He also played at inside centre for the national under-20 team in the win against Italy at Dens Park, Dundee, in February 2009. Between his two 2008 under-20 internationals he made his Scotland under-19 debut as a replacement in the 32-10 win against Italy in Parabagio, near Milan. In June that year he played another game for Scotland under-20, the IRB Junior World Championship match against South Africa at Wrexham in north Wales. Steven was in the Howe of Fife teams who won the National Youth Cup tournaments in 2005 (under-16) and 2007 (under-18). That latter year, too, he played for the Bell Baxter High School team who won the Bell Lawrie Scottish Schools Cup. He later joined Dundee High School FP before moving to Stirling County in summer 2008, and he has also played for Heriot’s. Steve is a contracted member of Scottish Rugby’s National Academy. | |
