Thursday, 02 February 2012

Scotland skipper Ross Ford has explained that his actions on the pitch on Saturday against England (kick-off 5pm) will be the defining factor of his captaincy.

In an interview with www.scottishrugby.org he said it’s all about being part of the team and winning as a team, and that when he does something individually he will always aim for that action to have a positive outcome.

In his first outing as captain the 27-year-old hooker will be backed in full force by his friends and family at a jam-packed Murrayfield. He said: “My family have not really given me any advice (about the captaincy), they’ve just said when I’ve come across on TV or radio I’ve come across ok and they’ve managed to understand me."
