Scottish Rugby’s most prolific try scorer, Andrew Turnbull waxed lyrically about the entertainment of international 7s 107 days out of the Glasgow 7s grand opening.

It was an appropriate topic for the player who scored his 107th HSBC Sevens World Series try against France in South Africa earlier this season.

He said: “I’m delighted to be going to Wellington (3-4 February) and New Zealand (10-12 February) and between now and Glasgow we’re looking to consistently qualify for the Cup competition.

“The Glasgow 7s is going to be a great tournament, I was at the venue yesterday and the stadium is a really good facility with lots on and all close by.”

Tickets for the Glasgow 7s – the penultimate leg of the HSBC 7s World Series – are on sale now at the price of just ?10 for those who buy before the end of the RBS 6 Nations (17 March). All concessions are at half the equivalent adult price.  Tickets will be sold for particular stands and designated days, with two-day ‘weekend’ tickets also available.
