Happy New Year to all Scotland supporters!  A new year always focuses the mind as it means the “jewel in the crown” and the chance to engage in the age-old rivalries of international rugby in the RBS 6 Nations Championship is just around the corner. I, for one, can’t wait.

We begin against England in front of a sell-out Murrayfield crowd on Saturday 4 February (5pm kick off) in the first of our two home fixtures.  Thanks to all those who have bought tickets, your support is appreciated by the Scotland players and management.  There’s tangible excitement in the squad and our players cannot wait to step out into a full Murrayfield Stadium for what promises to be another gripping encounter with our nearest neighbours.

Later in the month we face Rugby World Cup finalists France, (Sunday 26 February, 3pm kick off), and I urge you to help make that a full house too.  The noise, atmosphere and passion the players experience in front of a packed Murrayfield crowd is inspiring.

Tickets for the France fixture are still available (starting at £35 for adults and £17.50 for Students/ Under-18s).  Plus, everyone who buys a ticket to see our game against Les Bleus will automatically be entered into a prize draw to win either one of ten pairs of tickets to Scotland’s EMC Test against New Zealand in November or one of ten pairs of tickets for the Glasgow leg of the HSBC Sevens World Series at Scotstoun in May.  Don’t worry, if you’ve purchased your France tickets by now - you’re already in the running for the prizes!

We’re also encouraging supporters to wear something blue, a Scotland jersey, a hat, a scarf – anything – in a bid to turn Murrayfield blue at the RBS 6 Nations games.  Wouldn’t it be great to have a sea of Saltires at Murrayfield, too, so if you can bring a flag along that would also be welcomed.
