Neil Adam Sinclair was born in Stirling and attended Bannockburn HS and Loretto.
He captained Stirling County at under-15 level and represented Caledonia at under-16, under-17 and under-18 levels. Adam also played for a Scotland under-15 side against New Zealand schools.
His dad coached Stirling County junior teams to finals at S1, S2 and to victory at the under-15 national cup finals.
