The young players from Aberdeen Grammar, Aberdeen Wanderers, Mackie Academy FP, Ellon and Garioch, who have been attending an Aberdeen Youth Rugby Association skills and strength improvement camp over the summer, met Scotland head coach Andy Robinson and scrum-half Chris Cusiter at Pittodrie. You can hear how the previous Scotland match at Pittodrie – against Canada in 2008 – helped them to catch the rugby bug in our audio interview below. Meanwhile, Aberdeen FC manager Mark McGhee also welcomed the news that international rugby would be played in the north-east. McGhee told www.scotlandrugbyteam.org that he would be encouraging his players to watch the game and see what they could learn from watching another team prepare and perform.
