Jonathon Peter Andrew Dunbar won his first cap for Scotland as a late replacement for Stuart Grimes in the narrow loss to France in Paris in February 2005, and he won a second cap, also as a replacement, in the win against Italy at Murrayfield three weeks later. More recently he was in the Scotland A squad who contested the Barclays Churchill Cup in Canada in June 2006. Dunbar spent three seasons with Newcastle Falcons before joining Leeds Tykes in June 2004. While at Abingdon School, Jon played for England in the schools international against Scotland at Hughenden in March 1998. He joined Newcastle from the Grove rugby club in Oxfordshire whilst a student at Durham University and played in the winning Powergen Cup Final side. He has represented England at U18, U19 and U21 levels before choosing to turn out for Scotland, for whom he is qualified through his mother and father, who were born in Edinburgh. | International Player Statistics | | Games | 2 | Tries | 0 | | Started | 0 | Conversion | 0 | | Substitutions | 2 | Penalty Goals | 0 | | Points | 0 | Drop Goals | 0 |
