FORD SET FOR SPECIAL DAY
Wednesday, 16 June 2010

Edinburgh hooker Ross Ford is set to equal a record of which he’s specially proud when he takes on Argentina with Scotland in the second Test of the national team’s South American tour in Mar del Plata on Saturday.

Ford, alongside his Edinburgh team-mates Allan Jacobsen and Jim Hamilton, has been named in the starting line-up as Scotland aim for a series victory at the weekend and will be winning a landmark 40th cap.

That’s the complete tally won by one of Fordy’s inspirations, the former Scotland and British Lions flanker, John Jeffrey.

Both the White Shark and Ford were products of the Kelso club, so it will be a milestone at Poynder Park as Ford moves on to the same mark as JJ at the weekend.

Another four Edinburgh players are on the bench for Saturday's Test - Scott MacLeod, Mike Blair, Phil Godman and Nick De Luca, and you can see the full details on the selection elsewhere on this site.

Listen in as Fordy chats about the challenges Scotland face this Saturday.
