The ten pound day ticket means students can join thousands of party-goers from around the world at the finale of the IRB Sevens World Series at Murrayfield and be part of the party which takes over the whole stadium grounds, inside and out. Sixteen teams from around the globe take part in the international event and, while defending Edinburgh 7s champions Fiji provide a mouth-watering start to Scotland's Pool D action, supporters can enjoy a full day of international rugby and off-pitch antics from 9.30am to 7.30pm on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 May. Scotland 7s internationalists Andrew Turnbull, John Houston and Roddy Grant - who manage further education alongside their professional rugby career - pitched up at Heriot-Watt's Riccarton campus to promote the tenner ticket. Houston, who studies Construction Management at the university, said: "It's pretty well known that money's tight for students but you don't get much for tenner these days so to get a whole day at the IRB sevens is a bit of a bargain. "Students love this event because it's so much fun. It's really laid back and there's great all-day party atmosphere at the ground with supporters cheering on the well known teams like Scotland, New Zealand and Fiji while the lesser known teams like Russia and Portugal attract an under-dog cult following, despite often being serious contenders!" Tickets prices per day: £15 for adults (£20 on the day), £10 for students, £5 for under-18s and £35 for a family of four (two adults, two children) from www.edinburgh7s.com or the 24-hour ticket hotline (0844 335 3933) - tickets are also available on the day.
