Scotland head coach, Andy Robinson OBE, today highlighted the set-piece as an area of vital importance if Scotland are to record an historic victory over Australia at Murrayfield tomorrow (Saturday 21 November). Kick-off is at 5:15pm. Speaking during his media briefing on the eve of the second Bank of Scotland Corporate Autumn Test, Robinson said: “We have to play with quicker ball. Australia are a settled squad, are a strong team and are unbeaten so far on this tour. “We know how dangerous they are and have a good understanding of the game and are well coached. In attack we have got to ask questions of the Australian defence and we have to sustain that level for 80 minutes. “The set-piece is going to be a key battle ground for us. We’ll be scrummaging against a very dominant pack, but we’re going out there to win.” Meanwhile, Scotland’s line-out general - Glasgow Warriors captain Alastair Kellock - stressed the importance of a vocal support at the national stadium and wants to hear the Murrayfield roar throughout the entire 80 minutes as Scotland take on the world’s third-ranked team. “Murrayfield is a noisy place so if we can get the crowd behind us in the first 20 minutes, and keep them there for the full 80 minutes, then the Aussies will know they are in a game. “I can’t stress how important it is to get a noisy crowd behind you - it’s a massive boost to the players.” More than 43,500 tickets have been sold for tomorrow’s Scotland v Australia match at Murrayfield (kick-off 5.15pm). Tickets priced from £10 for adults and £5 for under-18s and students are on sale until 8pm tonight - and are on sale online until MIDNIGHT TONIGHT - but are not on sale on match day. Tickets are on sale via the credit card hotline 0844 335 3933; through the Scottish Rugby website www.scottishrugby.org; or in person from the Scottish Rugby Ticket Centre, Murrayfield Stadium, which is open until 8pm tonight. Please note a booking fee applies for all credit card transactions. Anyone buying an adult ticket at £20 or above (and the corresponding concessions) for the 2009 Bank of Scotland Corporate Autumn Tests will again have the opportunity to attend the Edinburgh v Glasgow Warriors Magners League derby at Murrayfield, part of the 1872 Cup, on 2 January 2010 (kick-off 3.05pm). |
